E-Research
is a practical guide for both novice and experienced researchers
using the Internet to enhance their research program. It overviews
how the Internet changes, evolves, improves and yet often
complicates the research process. E-research follows the normal
research process, by first discussing the types of problem
and research that most benefit from Internet tools, to gathering
both qualitative and quantitative data, to analyzing and disseminating
results. The authors share their experiences and provide URLs
that link to exemplar research sites. E-research is designed
to complement and update any research methods text or course
to insure that researchers are able to use this most powerful
of communications, data collection and dissemination media.
